Academic Prizes Awarded to Four CRC Youth

Eight years ago, these children were without a home and had very little hope for a better future. Because of the dedication and contributions of many, we can share this CRC success story.

Christ the King College, a senior secondary school in Bo, presented awards to four CRC boys in their Annual Prize Giving Ceremony in November, 2007. These awards are given to students who attained excellence in their academic work the previous academic year.

Aruna Stevens received awards in both Mathematics and Georgraphy for best student he was in Senior Secondary School Class 2. Abu Bakaara Jalloh received an award for coming in the first position of his Junior Secondary School class 2. Mohamed Nabieu came away with six awards as the best student in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Georgraphy, as well as the best overall student in SSS1. Abdulai Swaray was awarded the prize for best student in Further Math while he was in SSS1. Additionally Adbulai earned 1st place in throwing the discus at senior level during their school inter-house sports competion. Congratulations students!

Helping Children Worldwide would like to fund the post-secondary education of all of our 70 residential children/youth. Some will go on to university education, some will go on to vocational education. Please consider a donation to the CRC Scholarship Fund.
